Just got off the phone with Martha 5 minutes ago. I'll be heading from Raleigh, NC to Atlanta sunday night. See you all bright and early at 6:30 Tuesday morning.
If someone cannot handle 3 1/2 days of orientation and whines about filling out paperwork they need to find a career with McDonalds. Orientation is going well and with anything else in life it is what you make of it.
Yeah orientation is going well. The paperwork hasn't been too painful, I like listening to them talk to us about how the company is ran.
Met with my trainer this evening over dinner and feel very fortunate to have him as my trainer. He is a wonderful man! Everything is falling into place...
Good luck! I didn't like tryin' to sleep in truck while trainer was drivin' at all, way too bumpy ........way. And I worked and slept on tugboats for 20 years previously. Decided quickly I wasn't gonna be looking to team drive. Everything else was cool. One thing, though, it didn't truly prepare me for working solo. It's easy to manage time and logs as a team, easy to get a load where it has to be, when it has to be with 2 drivers on deck.....whole different story solo. Try and get your trainer to focus some on that aspect with you.
True, but they would probably whine about the grill being too hot as well. Congrats on getting a good trainer! Be safe out there!
