Dawn is the cheapest as said B/4. I believe the used it on the birds down in the gulf to get the oil off of them. I would keep a small bottle of wax on the truck with me just for this type of thing. Never to wax the entire truck, but just to spot wax after an incident like that.

I keep a bottle of Dawn in the truck. It is about the best thing to use for the money. You can buy a bottle at Dollar General for about $1. You can also use it to get grease out of your clothes. It works like a charm.

    StainStop.

But I doubt you'll find it anywhere.

If you have a hole in your pocket, Zep45 is good stuff, but pricey. Dawn dish soap... I use it when cleaning my guns. The bit in the ads about, "Dawn cuts grease"... it's true. WD40 works in a lot of situations, as well.

Starting fluid will get grease out of clothes, hats, skin, parts, paint, ect. Soft scrub will clean paint very good that is stained into the paint, plus it is great for taking the haze out of plastic headlights. Wet the lense and rag, put soft scrub on the rag, and in a few minutes the lights are almost clear again, if the lights are not messed up all the way through.

Dish soap will clean the oils right out of the paint, it's brutal.

Thank you, looks like Dawn is the one ill try first. My truck was in the shop over the weekend, I picked it up after hours, there were big grease fingerprints. Nobody to yell at after hours. I hate inconsiderate shops like that...

I know what you mean there. Seems it's too difficult for some to throw a clean shop towel over that greasy hand before handling hoods etc, but some just find it too much to handle and would rather leave their mark.

Dawn will strip the wax off the truck, if it's waxed, but I don't think it really damages the paint. I also use it to wash clothes that get diesel on them. Wash them several times, by themselves...no other clothes in there, or you'll get the diesel smell on everything.

When I pulled a food grade tanker we used in the tankers for 'unofficial' washes, or to pre-clean nasty load residues.
