I helped a driver one night install his in his new Cascadia. He had a swivel mount and we mounted it on the bunk side of the passenger cabinet. Four holes, but nobody will ever notice them. We used like 1.5 inch washers for added stability. It was a pretty neat set up. It folded back out of the way or you could point it any direction. If I ever get another chance, I'm going to do that setup.

I can't remember any used truck I got that didn't have holes in it. Just as long as one doesn't go crazy, nobody will say anything.

there are already a couple of holes Condo, but I do try to leave the equipment in original condition. Also since I am home I have a little better option of my mounting style, going to be using a few short 2x4s to basically build a SMALL frame inside the cabinet space provided for the TV. This way it is well out of the way while moving, and I can easily move it out to accommodate my gaming or movie watching.

Skyworth is about $25 cheaper at Target. They are not a bad brand, but not my choice. You compare them side by side with other brands, they have just an average picture. You attempt a warranty repair or try to get parts, you might have problems.

Naxa is junk. They are the cheapo line of electronics. Look at the reviews on Amazon or Walmart and you'll see what I mean. I bought my sister a home theater for her house. Some of the units I seen were Naxa. They were all cheap and had bad reviews. There's nothing high quality with a Naxa.

Just because these truck stops sell them doesn't mean they are made any better. It's quite the opposite. There are much better TV's made and sold cheaper at the big stores.

When I worked at Central Transport, we moved alot of warranty repairs and refurbished TV's. Take it how you want, but I seen more Vizio's than anything. Next was the Sony Bravada. Maybe they sold better refurbished or there was alot more repairs?? I just know I handled alot of them over the other brands. And yes, we had to ship them vertically. Either strapped to a pallet standing up or loosly slid in a hole against the trailer wall. I always loaded them last and gave them extra care. The rest of the junk was open game. :)

Sony is not a brand I trust for tvs after doing warranty work. Part of my decision to get the Philips is that we seldom saw any of their tv's, and it's cheap enough I can absorb the cost if something goes wrong.

Well I finished the mounting, it isn't pretty. I used a few scraps of lumber I had and a skillsaw rather than the table saw (table saw motor went out lol). I also ended up dealing with Time Warner internet for a large part of the day.

anyways while ugly, here are the pics of mounting (sorry bad lighting).

Wal-Mart experts? not hardly, Best buy totally depends on location. I have been to Best Buy locations where the guys earned way more than they deserved (they knew nothing about their products), but I have been to locations where they were so knowledgeable I was really able to learn about items I needed. Unfortunately, some of it I learned too late, and it ended up costing me in the long run.

I haven't done satellite on the road yet, but I keep hearing good reviews about Millenicom wireless cards.

What is a good mount for the TV? I want to mount about a 30" TV on a swivel mount on the wall. I was thinking of adding four eye bolts so I can bungle cord it to the wall when driving.
