What was your biggest paycheck

I Can make 5-8k a day with the market. Most I’ve hit is 12k in a day……had plenty of losing days too.However I make more net then I did running the truck and I don’t even have to leave home.

The truck is parked and I can’t bring myself to sell it……….

Work 6 months out of the year, 2 years ago grossed 102k, last year grossed 85k netted 67k, should be back close to 100k this year.

I believe it. Back when oil was $100 - $130+ a BBL, it was nothing to work half the year, bring home $180-$200K then throw in bonuses up to 1.5x your annual gross. Heck, even as late as a few years ago, it wasn't uncommon to get $275+ per day in per diem. Those days are over now though. Lots of great guys have left the patch (everyone is just a number now and it's not what you know it's who you blow). Just like the days of 1970-80's trucking are over with! Owner / operators back then were earning two to three times of what they are today! Dang shame the guys and gals that keep this country running and other professions in business are some of the lowest paid when everything is taken into account! And mega carriers have turned into churning out drivers to keep freight on the books and the pay down.
