I'm not sure about anti-depressants but the company I work for now would not hire with that knowledge, they actually send all applicants to have a sit down with a psychologist before they hire you on. Kind of weird but it is what it is. As for HIPPA yeah that would preclude your doctor form disclosing the information without a court order, the real question is whether or not those kinds of medications would show up on the whiz quiz. I doubt it but if you didn't disclose it and they did you would be shown the door most likely. Interesting question.
What will DQ me from TMC

I see that u are out of Elgin. When u were with TMC how was ur home time. Did u want to get home a lot or did u run the truck a lot for the $? I am one of those that has a lot of bills to pay and need the $ so if u want to run 3 out of 4 weeks a month will they let u? Also how were they on there logs? I remember them saying in class that the whole 34 hr rule does not apply because the hrs keep rolling off the top of ur recap and u will always have those hrs 2 use so there is never a need for a 34 hr restart unless u are at home then the 70 comes back. Is that all true or is that just them? Were you on % or milage? Thanks for the feed back. -
Just talked to my recruter and he said that I should be ok to come back but he is going to double check just to make sure.

Well I got the ok today from there Dr. and I can go back out there and finish training. Now the only thing is when. Since they said I could pick up where I left off in load securement that means I would have to be back out there by next thurs, other wise if they want me for some reason to start all over again from the begining with the class room stuff I would have to wait till the 5th of Oct. But I guess there is a good and a bad to waiting till the 5th of Oct. The good is that bow season starts here in Illinois on oct 1st so I could get some time in the tree stand b 4 I go back. But the bad is that means that they are making me start all over from the begining again. Well we will have 2 c what happens. I will keep yall posted. Thanks again for everybody's feedback on this situaton.

Hey not a problem. I know before I went out there I was on this site all the time trying to get all the info that I could and the guys that are currently driving for them and the guys that did drive for them were a great help and still are to this day as you probably have read with some of the questions that I asked them. But I just wanted to pass along my experiences so people that are looking into them can get a good idea of what they can expect. I know that I appricated all the posts from the guys who gave there 2 cents worth of info, it made it a little easier going out there knowing what 2 expect and how things are runned. -
I appreciate your posts, and the others as well. Yes, I've read many of the posts on here about TMC and other companies. That is part of what helped me decide to choose TMC. I know there are some who are upset with TMC because of the changes they've made, but I think coming into this as newbies, we should be able to adapt more easily because we don't know any other way. Even with the changes being made, they still look like a really good company. I can't wait for next month!

Hey newbie and dodge, your making a good choice considering your options...
Yes there has been alot of changes that do not favor the driver but looking around the industry at the other training companies TMC is still better than most to start out with by far!
Keep your nose clean and be professional at orientation and you should not have a problem. Just wanted to wish you guys good luck and hopefully will be seeing you after you get into your own truck...There is a nice shiney Pete waiting for you! -
Home time was fine, in fact they sent me home more than I wanted. I asked to stay out many times and was routed through the house anyways. In Rockford you are going to see a similar thing, maybe not quite as much. They were blowing smoke up your *bleep**bleep**bleep* at the class, you will need resets. Maybe not every week but often enough. They are anal about the logs, but it's easy to keep up with. Make sure you log your fuel times correct, one of the log ladies has a thing for cross checking fuel times for new drivers. You will get resets whether you need them or not from time to time. I was on mileage, go percentage for the first year assuming you miracle your way through an entire year. Good luck!

I agree with this as well,, TMC is still better than most. And also like joecool313 says. act professional as it is a 2 week job interview. All the guys in my class that goofed off or messed around all got canned . I was surprised at how some acted like it was a summer camp or something.
