I would use it to talk the price down considerably then get it fixed. You could end up with a perfectly good trailer for cheap.

I seen a guy trying to get into a dock drive way the other day & dropped the right side of his trailer axles off the drive, down into the ditch. That trailer was twisted pretty good. The trailer being twisted in this manner, could have caused something like this...??? It coulda twisted enough that the slide there popped out of that guide. Just an idea.

FWIW, the driver had to call a wrecker out to pick the rear of the trailer up & set it back on the drive way. It was a pretty steep drop/ditch.

Probably a sliding mishap. I have picked up two trailers with the spring loaded pins, that drivers pulled so hard, the slide rail was sitting on top of front pins.

Happens all the time, the clamp gets bent from hard turns which spread the rails. Doesn't do anything with the alignment, pins do that. We always replace all 4 at the same time.

Looks clean underneath otherwise, better than a lot I have seen. I would use it as a bargaining tool and then have it fixed.

No big chore, impact and take two bolts out. Rail drops back on the box. New clamp(we pay about 20.00) tighten two bolts and done. Takes more time to drag air and tools than to do it. Doesn't do anything to the alignment, only purpose is to keep the box to the rails.
