    CEO Salaries 2022

    JB Hunt $9.2 million
    Schneider $6.9 million
    Knight-Swift $6.4 million
    Werner $5.5 million

They're making more in one quarter than most of their drivers will make in a lifetime killing themselves to haul their cheap freight.

Was more going for the broader application of the allegory. Regardless of what system is being discussed, the success or failure ultimately comes down to the motivation and integrity of those in charge, and the ability of rank and file to hold them accountable.

We got REALLY lucky that Washington stepped aside after two terms, and that was in large part due to him being paid a salary and not just getting his expenses covered like when he commanded the Continental Army. Can you imagine what would have happened if Washington joined the Order of Cincinnatus and died in office during his 3rd term?

They'd stay in business. They're too powerful. They can fire people and bring in new people. Besides not everyone working for those folks would want to unionize.

Yello was screwed way before the Union pushed back. Look what the UAW did for UPS or the big three auto workers. If you want to call it socialism so be it. It's already built into our government for the people and by the people. Sure beats fascism, then you got no say or rights.

Well, after that documentary emerged about what happened to Hoffa, I doubt there will be many takers. It said, Hoffa is in a 55 gallon drum in a landfill under the NJ turnpike, hauled there by a Gateway truck, that had mafia connections. I never knew that.

Really? I heard that he was simply cremated and his ashes scattered in some field somewhere.
If that's too ordinary for you there's always the theory that he was ground into fish chum with a wood chipper and then cremated.
All kinds of theories but one thing you can't deny...the guy, good or bad, had more influence on the American trucking business than anybody before or since.
