With emphasis on the load, it has to move. Try to set up a rental truck, before you might need one. Unless you have a 2nd truck on hand. Some day your main truck will have a problem.
That day is not the day to find a company that will rent a daily or weekly truck to you.
    Good luck

That's a good idea if you get the dedicated run... normally I would suggest at that weight and miles and the rate I would go shopping for even a day cab cheap back up tractor.. but things aren't normal now..there's no such thing as a cheap truck right now

Ah, the old fence post count.
Got to have 3 post to make two panels of fence. He is right, unless you love next door and stay hooked...

You are handling the hook end and he does the doors, load unload. What is for you to damage inside?

So, it is to tie up a truck, 2 trailers, for 260 miles a night? That’s a part-time gig.
Too much iron dedicated for the amount of miles.

I tend to agree, I have a contract like this.

A broker contacts us, after “bidding” and getting the load, I went to talk to the manager who set this up at the customers place. I told him I can get another truck on this and we’ll work with them and their customer so there isn’t a third party in between. Come to find out the broker was the real problem and failed them a couple times.

One driver with a floater, spare truck if the one breaks down, it is all about service and it is a daily charge.

so they just renewed the contact, and whether they use the truck or not, it is a fixed rate plus Fsc. The cost no matter what they put on the truck, one pallet or ten it is $1400 a day. If they don’t use the truck, there is no Tonu charge, it is $1400 a day. They need it for the weekend, it is $1400 a day.

They use my trailers and that cost them $2000 a month to use.

    GreenPete359 and TheLoadOut Thank this.
