I went with the 2011 Cascadia with the DD15. Got it with 532000 on it. Has 580000 on it now. Runs great.
dog-c and Prohemi500 Thank this. -
And after two Petes, I'd never be in the market for one of those again, LOL.
They're like Harley Davidson and new John Deeres.....same junk but pay more for it.Prohemi500 Thanks this. -

Freightliner built in Mexico so please tell me what's better on a freight shaker I'm all ears.
-
If you are going to work on it Cummins. If you are going to pay someone to work on it Detroit.
dog-c Thanks this. -
Mr pump.. A good question would be why are you even in a freightliner forum? A better question would be why are you even responding on this thread since you obviously love petes and have no info for the question on this post? If you don't like freightliners, go play with the boys in the Pete forums.
Wild Murphy Thanks this. -
I don't like Petes. They're no better than anything else. Never gave me any longer life, never cost me any less to buy or maintain. So what's better about them?
As far as Mexican built......I've had FAR less build quality issues and flaws when our Coronado's were delivered than on the U.S. built Western Stars. The Stars were almost depressing the amount of flaws and wrong components on them.mhyn Thanks this. -
Where you want me to begin on build quality?like how the window jams on the rubber seal going up on windy days and don't go up and when it does it crushes the seal or how the steering wheel don't tilt just column, you can feel the drift right through the door handle, dash falls apart quickly, water leaks in when it rains, everything rattles, when you use your wipers it throws everything on the mirrors, the wiper switch is horrible and you have to lean up to use it instead of just turning it on at the end of the turn signal stick heck even the mattress you can feel the springs poking you its so thin honestly I could go on forever about build quality and western star is a freightliner nowadays had a 1996 ws when they were a quality truck.
