That is the exact reason I don’t feel sorry for you guys. Like I said before, I used to blame companies for treating their driver like dirt .... now, specially after reading this . If they do that to you is because you are letting them do that to you ! You sound like a wife who gets abuse by her husband and still stick with him .

Doorslamming sux, doesn't it? What would I do? I would line up my next gig, get my date for orientation, and clean my gear out of the truck when I got home. If I live up to my end of the agreement, the company has to live up to theirs.

Time to find a new seat. Just being that far away monday morning, not knowing what you're doing and being 2 1/2 days away from where you're supposed be wednesday would be enough to start looking.

Just curious, is that nonsense finding an empty at all normal?

And paid how much for all that wasted time and labor? Lemme guess: zero, zilch, nada, nothing. Ok maybe some shag pay if your dispatcher is in a good mood that day but we all know that don't pay squat.

This is why per-mile pay is such an absolute scam and why I'll never ever go back to running the road. Wayyyy too many freebies.

Saw a Schneider driver the other day with a "2 Million Miles" placard on his door. That's an amazing achievement, but under HHG miles that guy drove a whole YEAR for free.

Sounds like some of the crap Crete and Big G use to pull...neither couldn't keep track of their equipment...and Big G was putting these weird sensors in the front of all their trailers to track where their loaded/empty trailers were. Haven't had this issue since I left the door slamming world and went to open deck...and I wouldn't go back to pulling a box if you put a gun to my head.

Oh, and to answer the question in the title...find something else with a company that doesn't operate this way.
