I would contact a lawyer whom specializes in employment law for that state (Which would be Texas I think). They should not be holding any of your checks, In 30 plus years of driving I have never had funds held because of a missing signature. You can also contact the labor board for the state, they can direct as to the laws in question.
What would you do?

By the way it is your job to get said signature, just saying part of the job. As far as with holding pay, I dont think so, all they have to do is scan into a PDF email it for a signature. Not a big deal, but is easier if you do your job correctly to start with.

Trucking should adopt 1 practice from the Royal Navy's age of sail period. They should flog any driver dropping trailers with unreported maintenance issues.I've had my share dropped trailers with flat tires, broken hinges, etc. There is no excuse for doing that.

frankly, so did i back in my long haul/regional days....
ok, your original posting was for your missing pay, due to a missing signature...now you started a sub-thread with in your thread about trailers being broken down.
for the pay signature deal, do what the other driver said he does, and I DID as well, carry a pen that has different inks, and sign the bills yourself, just "wing" the signature the best you can...i was NEVER questioned about the signatures..
as for the trailer issue, make sure your company is aware of the condition of the trailers that you swap out, and the lack of miles you get due to this.
and finally, just go and get a better job............and a mulitple colored inked pen.....jbird05031126, tscottme and TROOPER to TRUCKER Thank this. -
If the signature is all they want to pay you put it in writing and that will be the best way to handle it. If they don’t agree and do it then get a attorney.
buddyd157 Thanks this. -
If you had a habit of not getting all the proper places signed I could see holding your pay a couple days to help you fix the habit, otherwise no. Get to somewhere to turn the truck in and tell them you're gone and would like your money.buddyd157 Thanks this.

Texas is very hard on employers who fail to pay. Your dilemma is surviving until you can move on. Hang in there.

Shenanigans, Play their game till you get your money, don’t be surprised if you have to fight for that last check, might want to get paid while at home, collecting all your money first, then quit. Unfortunately some Carriers bring this on themselves. They reap what they sow.
