I'm just a company driver loser, kicked around buying my own truck a couple of times but as it stands right now I just drive for a small outfit north of pittsburgh PA.

Smart thinking on your part. I always kept a little notebook & kept it updated with a backup plan. Constantly researching other companies and always knew exactly where to go if something happened to current job. It kept me from ever being unemployed. I always looked at their benefits and 401K because someday I didn't want to be stuck with only social security.

You have a pretty good job hors, cpape seems like a good guy and like he really respects his drivers. I think anyone that lives around Iowa should consider working for pape.

Yeah they are great people to work for and will work with you on everything. When i was thinking about getting my own truck cpape's dad pulled me aside and suggested that i wait a while till i get a feel for the industry and make all my screw ups on his dime. If that doesn't tell you something about the company then i don't know what does.
