He sleeps as I said in previous posts, most of the time. He isn't overwhelmed either. We are students, how are we supposed to know how it's supposed to go? We have never been in this situation, let alone this job before. We will be going to the company to find out how it's supposed to be. We appriciate all the opinions and advise. It's given us the knowledge and courage to report him now instead of waiting until we were done training. This has been a heavy burden on us.

Hard telling when you'll get to the terminal. You should have called right away arther then waiting.Thats what I would have done.I had a bad exp with a trainer.I called the company, trainer took me to the nearest hotel and headed back to the terminal on a bus the next day.Company paid for everything.

I understand you are students and are in a new world. But some things go beyond a new job or inside the cab of a truck. Don't let some dude intimidate you just because you are in a new situation. If the guy is insulting you, berating you etc... that goes beyond training or a job etc....if he's a dirt bag, he's a dirt bag regardless where he's at. There should be no question or hesitation on your part about what to do. Especially your husband....

The more I research it, the more false imprisonment soulds like a liable option to take. Demand from your trainer to use the Qualcomm at your discretion without him looking over your shoulder. If he does not allow this, you could have him arrested and charged. It's your truck too.

if your driving and he is sleeping i would drive right to the nearest cop shop and park out front send the wife inside to get a cop and unload your gear and call your company safety dept.rep right then and get the hell off that truck. No more waiting, whats to stop him from pulling a gun and any kind of bad things could happen to you or to both of you.... Get out now.... Or call 911 and have a cop meet you and get your gear off the truck and get out..... Go to the nearest hotel in that case and then call dispatch and safety and the ceo of the company....

Theres been some real good advise listed here. If you continue then your at fault and have no more reason to complain. Of course the other thing is maybe this is a big story, if so then you've had your laff either way get on with it.

Why would your husband let someone run his wife down, I would not take any of this, nor would my wife.

Power joints you are off base. My husband didn't allow it. We are on the way to the terminal right now, and the pictures I took will surely end this guy's ability to do this to anyone else. Even if they don't care what the guy said, they can't deny the photographic proof of what he did. For those who helped give us confidence and knowledge on this issue, thank you. Hopefully other students will learn that they have more rights than they think as well.

Well, I hope you 2 have a better training experience on the next go-around. It's doubtful though when you're driving for a starter company that allows drivers to 'train' after 6 months.

    *edit*

When you get your next trainer, ask them 2 questions:

    1) How long have you been driving?

    2) How long have you been with the company?

If both answers are less than 2 years, find yourselves another trainer as chances are they will be bad news.
