    An old barman's trick: serve the first couple of rounds as ordered, then sub the cheap booze. They seldom get called on it. OTOH, it is something the Alcohol Beverage Control boards are very familiar with, and will look for during their U/C operations.

    Look , we've ALL broken the rules at one time or another ...and If you've driven for any length of time you've been asked/expected/tricked into doing it too. The point of the matter is like the OP asked.....legal/illegal is relative....would I/did I/have I done things that could be considered wrong...you bet...but I've never even been tempted to compromise MY safety , the safety of other motorists , or the integrity of my load. That is my main cincern while driving , # 1 my safety , #2 then yours , #3 then the load...once you get # 1 accomplished....#2 an #3 fall right into line. Simple...just follow the rules of #1 , #2 an #3.....

    Anytime you break the speed limit, you're not legal...but doing something wrong on your own dime, and your employer asking (demanding) that you do something illegal is different...at least to me it is.

    No I didn't want to hear that because A: Lawyers are expensive B: DOT and the Labor board rarely do anything without it benefiting them somehow and C: this is the real world.

    There is a difference between what you are talking about and a company asking you to log off of your Qualcomm (elogs) to run a load in. But telling dispatch where to shove it is kinda like biting the hand that feeds you isn't it? They control your miles...thus your paycheck. Piss them off, and those miles will go to another driver who doesn't mind do those 'favors' for them. So here lies the predicament.

    I don't care where ya go,companies will ask you in a non illegal way to run illegal.All you have to say is pay me extra,that usually shuts em up.

    If you go the pro bono route,it doesn't cost anything for a lawyer and they get so much of your settlement if you win.They may receive more then you but to sue a company for the satisfaction is well worth it.

    According to what i read at the TTR i would say NO WAY...These people are all SUPER DUPER TRUCKERS that do no wrong and never ever made a ''mistake''..:yes2557:
