I did mention that I didn't include the other expenses like gas and what not. You're still making a killing though.

I'll do a mix of both Reefer and Flatbed. But, mostly Reefer.

Then I don't think you will be able to do those miles without a team operation. The wait times to unload are just too time consuming.
The guys that haul the yogurt acct. out of Conneticut, are now doing it with a team bc they cannot meet the deadlines with a solo operation.

Yeah I included all those and gave realistic monthly/annual estimates for each category. I'm still making a ton of money. I even included food expenses, health insurance, prepass, EZpass, registration fees, etc. I'll be doing the driving myself until I can make enough money to hire other truck drivers. I'm still better off doing this than working for a company making $40-50k. I know what you're saying though. It's a lot of expenses.

    Ok
I am curious to see your estimated expenses
And where/how do you plan on finding the work?

My friend did it just fine. Drove all the way from Rochester, NY to SLC and back within a week. We were lucky though because we didn't hit icy roads in Wyoming just 60mph winds. Took them a couple hours to unload and they unloaded at night when he was sleeping. He was somewhat cutting it close though, but he didn't take a substantial amount of breaks.

I realize that all of the unloads aren't going to be smooth like that.

That big storm that hit PA over Christmas, it took a driver 7 hrs to go 26 miles.

Too bad it didn't take 8
He could of averaged less than 5mph and got an 8 hour break in

    Bakerman Thanks this.
