Indeed. Some will say it's laziness, but I say I do my job so others can do theirs. I was a driver and mechanic for years for no extra pay, until I learned to do what I'm told and dummy up. "Gee boss I don't have a clue how to put a clutch in..." An outright lie. But if they paid me even 1/3 of what a shop charged to do the work I would. They want something for nothing.

I used to get taken advantage until i realized i didnt have to take it. Its a part of getting wise and mature. Although some folks get older while that doesnt come with it...

Duct tape a flare to driver door in case you ever need one in a hurry. As far as tools, carry whatever makes you happy. I think every driver should have the basics; hammer, screwdrivers pliers small socket set vise grips.etc. Just for doing the stupid little things that can be fixed in 5 mins. Oh my truck is less than a year old so this should be taken into consideration too.

Window smasher tool. It also has a seat belt cutter.

Believe it or not, those side windows break easy when you don't want them broke, but are hard when trying to break them.

I used a sledge hammer on one and it wouldn't break the window. Maybe because I used the flat side against the window, maybe if I used the adge of the hammer head it would have worked.

You can not kick the window to break it. There are many times you'll come across a car with people trapped inside.

Don't ever make the mistake of thinking that if people are standing around a crashed car that nobody is in it dying while people just stand there and watch.
