I said it once before and i'll say it again and use smaller words....stop hauling 53' cans around, there is no money in it. You don't need 2 years, that's crap. I have only been driving for 1 year and 4 months now and have had 2 really good paying jobs. Show up, do the work and keep your mouth shut. It's really THAT simple.

Maybe there's money for owner ops. There's none for company drivers. I've got friends who started there and every company in the lower mainland pays 18 an hour or less. And you drive the ####tiest trucks

CbarM, I get paid $0.67 a mile, full medical and dental, pension and detention pay. Most guys hauling cans around here get $0.40 a mile with nothing else. I'm also home every night. I did my research BEFORE I went looking for work. Dry van's ain't it.

I'm also a military veteran of both of our Gulf Wars and 45 years old, I don't think that 'wet behind the ears' applies here.

Prairie Boy, I did as you requested ;-)

You get 67 cpm...but the big question is how many miles do you run in a day and how long does it honestly take you to do it?

I wasnt saying you are wet behind the ears personally, but in trucking. I think most people who have less then 5 years are still rookies. Never stop learning...there is to much to know out here
