This thread is about starting pay, I do believe you you start out less than a proven experienced driver but I stand by my statement that $0.36 is not enough.

I don't know whats best for you but I do know crap pay from crap companies isn't good for our industry as a whole and I do care about that.noluck Thanks this.

Thanks for your information. I was a little hesitant to add all the accessory pay because I'm not quite ready to 'out' the company.

It's all the other that will determine if it's good or not. A straight .36 will gross 792 on 2200 miles a week. I wouldn't plan on much more than that. If you get more great, but take everything they say with a grain of salt. I had a job once making .32 pm and $15 a stop with 6-8 stops a day. And $40 tarp pay. The .32 made up only about half the pay. I did ok, but I never would have did it for the .32 by itself.johndeere4020 and hoosiergirl Thank this.

I started out at 28 cents per mile....

He might consider Carter Express in Indiana. They have training for new drivers, and if he gets on the Nissan account, he could probably be home a few times a week and off weekends. I'm not sure how far you live from there terminal, but I know they run Indiana to Mississippi and back. My company runs similar routes that get the driver about 3600+ miles a week, home every other day. We don't hire students though.
hoosiergirl Thanks this.
