Mid-day here, truck traffic is as high or higher than it's been in the past. I agree- this is way too disorganized to have a real affect. It'll be seen as a few people in a few places protesting, and everyone will just shrug it off. Good thought, good intentions, but poor execution.
I went up I-75 towards Macon Georgia at about 9:00 am and nothing looked different to me on the interstate.
I'm hearing that in North Carolina CB chatter about the strike is non-existent and trucks are on the road as usual. The upside is that I've found more info than ever before on the shutdown online today. Maybe when more drivers get to taking their breaks later today/tonight there will be more parking their trucks.
Here is what it looks like in WY............. oh wait thats cuz the road is closed due to bad weather. But we can always wish.. right?
Seems to be business as usual. Seen a number of trucks. Heading into Western Pa now,. Not as many trucks on the road. Fuel $4.27 a gallon, at some truck stops around here. We otta start a Convoy into DC, block all ways into the city let those pencil pushers see we are not gonna take it!
