What's that noise?

    It kinda comes in as a high piched warbling/sputtering sound for few seconds at random. Transitions from high to low and high again and then fades out?

    Solar flares or something like that? Usually more prevalant in the peak of the "skip cycle".

    Is there here a name for it? I've heard it refered to as "cosmic snot". :)

    I just eliminated my alternator and blower motor noise with this Mar 70a 70 amp low pass filter.

    noise I have on channel 23 since the dawn of time...I did trace it to a water treatment plant that is maybe 10 miles from the house...coming from something they have there.
