That's a pretty dirty radio right out of the Box and you would probably need some sort of band pass filter In between the radio and the amplifier and probably another filter after the amplifier.
This amp is probably the smallest I would recommend for that radio.
DX1600 - Galaxy Texas Star Sweet Sixteen 10 Meter 1600 Watts CW Transmitter

Somebody had an old Gray 200 watt mobile amp for sale on facebook somewhere today. Was supposed to be one of the originals.

Probably best to stay barefoot until it's within your budget but by then it probably won't be manufactured anymore at the rate things are going.
You can do some amazing things with a barefoot radio if you have a competent radio operator listening at the other end of the conversation.Another Canadian driver, stacks and 202 Thank this. -
The RM 503 is a high drive Amp and at a lower cost would be a better investmentAnother Canadian driver Thanks this.

The country of origin has nothing to do with the performance. I don't care where something's made if it works. Even Ameritron can't make a decent transistorized amp here in the USA.
They make decent single tube amps though.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.
