So should I have a physical done just to make sure I won't have any surprizes? Haven't had a physical in a loooooong time
What's the difference between a regular physical and a DOT physical?

You need to have your medical card to get your CDL and then most companies, but not all will want you to get another one to make sure you are fresh meat.
It's not uncommon to have two medical cards. Just keep the most current one in your wallet.
I don't think I had two physicals the same either. Some will ask instead of do. Some will add stuff. Walk-in clinics are usually the cheapest starting around $40. -
More on the paperwork side...it differs from a sports physical in that they do eyesight and hearing tests as well.

Yes. !!!! There's certainly no reason to even pursue a job if you are about to die because you stayed away from doctors too long. IMO, you should have your physical done by your physician for your health. Then, let the DOT be done wherever for the company's benefit. IMO, the DOT physical is just part of the job and should'nt be given a whole lot more credit than that. The DOT physical is done for the sole purpose of insuring you are fit for the job. A physical done by your own physician is for the purpose of insuring you will live a hopefully long and healthy life. In My Opinion.

All physicals are essentially the same. Depending on who or what it's for, some may be a little more in depth and the forms to be completed will be different, but a physical is a physical. Now turn your head and cough!
