Another big differences is that you can drive a ''class B'' vehicle and make more money than the drivers with a class A OTR.You can be home every night and enjoy your family, friends, children and personal life...Not to mention less responsability and less headache dragging a 53 footer around....

Years ago you were almost guarenteed to make the big bucks when you stepped up to a class A.This is not the facts anymore in this economy.I know guys that drive dump trucks and bring in 1,500 weekly..A have a neighbor that works as a package delivery guy with a cube van.He makes $1,000 a week and works 9 hours a day M-F Weekends off..

So a ''class A'' really is no big deal anymore in this economy...

In California a class C is what all the 4 wheelers use. Nothing special about it at all.

Yes, you can drive a combination with a class B, as long as the trailer is under 10,000 LBS GVWR.

Just because you have a class A doesn't mean you have to drive OTR. I drive a city feeder run. I never leave the city, I work 8 hrs a day 40 hrs a week.

Tell your friend that lots of Dr's and lawyers make well over a 1000 a week and also hold class C licenses. Still nothing special about it. Haha

    Just my point,thanks..

In todays transportation world and economy, people do not have to spend thousands for a Useless Class A.People do great driving a school bus, cab, straight truck etc etc...Not to mention the CDL B is FREEEEEEEE...

The vehicle I drive requires a class A CDL as it's a class 8 truck.
