I know car hauling can pay $80-100k. Tricky work though loading them cars and pulling a stinger around.

Again, no one wants to know what your truck makes if you're a O/O.

Sorry it wasn't ups freight it was another ups company. I can't think of the name but it's either Ups ground or something like ground. But it's a Ups company.

I'm sure some owner ops do quite well but that's obviously a different game than company driving.

Beg to differ on this one....Food service is an over-looked venue lots of times because of the work involved doing it...... but , you make upwards and over 100k doing it , and be home almost every night. Just have to get with the right company.

those guys make $80k+ but takes a long time to get a cake feeder bid. You've generally got to go through package car first at bare minimum before you can drive the big trucks for UPS. That could take years depending on the terminal you work out of. And then of course the problem is that working for UPS sucks.

    RJ33RD Thanks this.

key to making money as o/o is work smarter not harder. when you become a o/o you are no longer a "Truck Driver", you are now a small business owner. I pull cryogenic tanker i grossed $248,000 net $183,108.43 last year. this year $260,000 area will net in the 190-195 area. that is 3 weeks out 1-2 weeks home and taking December off. money is there you just have to be smart about how you run your business. biggest problem with 95% of o/o that fail is total lack of taking the effort to educate themselves on how to properly run a business.

    1) Heavy Haulage ala leftlanetruckin on page 3.
    2) NOT the CIA. They're only advertising 26.60/hr (WG-11). However, I think "ghost drivers" hauling SSTs do pretty well.
    3) Moon Rover Jockeys. You need your CDL-A.stronaut for that.

I'm looking to train for a water (ICE?) hauling job when they start fracing on Mars. I think the schedule is 6/6/6, 6mo travel, 6mo work, 6mo back. FMCA (Federal Mars Carrier Association) regs require for every 8 solar days of travel you must take a 30 hour Stasis Sleeper break. Probably will die a few years into your 34 year radiation reset.
