Whats the most you have ever Dead-headed for a load?

Roughly 200 miles empty
And about 650 Bob tail

 

Deadheadef from ca to ks many times in my life when fuel was under 2 a gallon ......this week had a great two rounds coast to coast then got ticked at rates and time constraints for load out of detroit so i deadheaded down to s. Mo

 

More than once my DH was 50%-100% Loads over 500 miles up to 12-1500.

I got paid enough going in I didn't need to take the cheap freight out. No sense in wasting time paying out my pocket to haul your freight. I gotta eat too.
Another had to overnight DH 700 miles to get a good paying load on 1200 or the load could have been gone.
