Have a 2020 VNL, and distance alert, while obnoxious, was working. Had to unhook the main circle plug and tap into the center pin for the lift axle which is what the fleet uses (so that center pin now has an in-line fuse with a switch). Not sure if just removing and reinserting plug did it, or the center pin was vital to make the Distance Alert work. But now it gives two warning messages about it not working.

After a google search put tape over what I assume is the censor below the bumper (big black box), but didnt do anything. What's the solution to get the message to go away and/or preferably disable all together.

Also any tips on affordable ODB tools for these new volvos? Only have 89-90 fleets and this first of what I assume will be new Volvos in the fleet.

Center pin is for ABS,shouldn't use it for anything else.Distance alert and ABS are tied together.

Distance alert and adaptive cruise control has just about ruined trucks. Lane departure hasn’t helped either.

Was afraid of that. All the other trailers are wired to use center pin for lift axle, pre abs of course, couldn't really discover anything else pre wired for it.
Can't really switch this truck as it won't be compatible with everything else. Need to find a way to get rid of the DA I guess
