What's the truth about Volvo truck?

Seems as you are a bit biased though, if you had any choice out there i bet you wouldnt go with a binder

i drove a new 2001 630 with ved12 13 speed no overdrive for 3 years pulling loads not less than 77,000 gross put 392,000 miles on it and did not have one problem with it avg 6.9 mpg with 42% idle time(tanker)and 28% empty miles
foot in it all the time... set at 75mph. i was reel hard on this truck.

 

Hey Double L is 18 and just getting started. A Binder is just fine. Better watch out there hotrod. In a few years he will be passing you like your in compound in his Pete.

 

Exactly I got to get something that is easy on the pocket book to get started.

I have a 95 Flat top with a 12.7 Detroit. With an Eaton Super 10. truck has a 1,007,000 miles and has never been rebuilt.....I still get between 6.8 and 7.25 pulling a flat (mostly steel). It has Volvo on the front and GMC/White/Volvo on the title...........I bought it with 970,000 miles from an older guy that all us boys nicknamed PawPaw, He is 72 and bought the truck new.......I'm the second owner............ It still runs great and so far my maint his been minimal.......I just hope it keeps going...........Rides Like a stagecoach compared to my brothers 379 but still makes money...Got the truck and an 06 Great Dane 53' x 102" flat for 25k.....Still have enough set aside for the eventual rebuild on the motor. I'm just trying to save up for a newer truck.......I plan on waiting 2 years before buying and hope to be able to pay cash for that also. I will be looking for a T-600. My brother wanted me to go cheap to start, learn the trade in an older and cheaper truck.. Not tear up an expensive truck.......I have heard of people having a lot of trouble with the newer Volvo,s and would carefully have to consider that before I bought one....I'm not sure I would have bought this one if my brother didn't know the history on it....
