Being limited stresses me out. I was running a limited truck over the summer and I'd get to some place to load or offload and miss it by 5-10 minutes. I'd already have my next load that I could get picked up if I could get unloaded. So I'd have to sit and watch my check for the week drop from 900+ to 675. This is at the same company that had another truck identical to mine that got better mileage at 72.

All out trucks are set for 127mph (cat high limit).........speed has never been a problem. I guess it's easier to find a steering wheel holder that needs the ECM to keep him from doing 100mph, rather than paying for good responsible drivers.

Most likely, it is because the insurance companies dictate the speed setting.

According to you, anyone that does not drive a ungoverned truck is an irresponsible, steering wheel holder.

    Your thoughts, not mine.

62 is still to fast. I won't be happy until trailers are pulled by four mules.

Actually according to me most truck drivers I meet ARE irresponsible. Speed limiters have nothing to do with it. If you want to know my thoughts I'll tell you straight out, I don't really need your summary.

When you get held up at a shipper because a steering wheel holder backed into a CLOSED door your expectations change. When I meet one that's not an idiot it's like seeing Bigfoot.

Hate to break it to you but fleets don't have automatic transmissions, speed limiters, low HP engines and "GOAL" stickers on their mirrors because they have the highest hiring standards!

Well, anytime a truck gets in front of me and slows me down or does something stupid which would include you no doubt, I will just think of them as irresponsible and steering wheel holders.
