If you guys are not happy about guys running 62 you would really be ticked off by me. I run 55 all the time and my truck is governed at 72. I will speed up to pass somebody but running 55 that never really happens. Less fuel used is less money wasted.

i drove a trk at 62 mph...it drove me crazy....we owned a W9...that i honestly dont know how fast it would go.....we had a big cat in it with an 18....and we usually ran about 70~75 dep. on where we were....we got 6.5 with it.....consistently (sp)
RickG Thanks this. -
What Bull. Not all cars or trucks are in shape to run 70 to 75. And if I wanna drive 55 to save some money, that's my business.
Your not paying for my fuel. Personal or work vehicle. -
well 62 or 55 really doesent save fuel when ya hit a hill youll be usein the same thats just a myth slower is better what a joke I run 65 to 70 all the time and get 6.8 to 7.2 and get up the hills alot easier.so if ya think slower saves fuel your wrong

All the freedom is getting taken away from this job.
...wait, the freedom AND the money!
Hmmm... problems with driver retention? can't imagine why.
I guess we used to make too much and everyone else (attention safety, computer monitoring co's) want their cut. -
EVERY study done regarding speed limiters or split speed limits concluded forcing trucks to drive slower than the flow of traffic increased the risk of accidents. The accident rate in OH dropped significantly when they raised the truck speed limit to 65 .
When you drive 15 miles an hour under the speed limit you drive 150 miles less a day in 10 hours. It also takes you over an hour longer a day to go 500 miles ,increasing fatigue. You ARE a rolling safety hazard.Jake The Bullhauler and mizdageeragn Thank this. -
But , but if you drove 62 you might have gotten 6.7 mpg consistently
Giggles the Original Thanks this. -
Not in shape to run 70 to 75?! Then the POS shouldn't be on the interstate!!Jake The Bullhauler Thanks this. -
