We finally have a guy who specializes in optimizing sites like TruckersReport, he might be implementing some updates right now that are causing some slowdowns during setup.

Big Don and lovesthedrive Thank this.

Don't mean to complain but this guy know what he's doing and tells you what he is going to do before he does it?

Since you posted that 15 hours ago, This site is performing very poorly, sometimes a couple minutes to load. A couple times it showed up that the server didn't exist and I had to check my DNS servers to see if there was a problem resolving the name and it showed up but not the server even if I used an IP address.

My posts are taking 30 seconds to 180 seconds to post and return and sometimes I get a box asking me if I want to stay or leave, needing to click on "leave" to get my post to show up. If I choose leave, then I have to actually close the tab and return to the thread to see if it posted. A few times it didn't. If I refresh, I either get the box or it sits there waiting for the site to respond.

This happens only here, I'm at other high traffic sites and don't have that problem.

Again not trying to look like I'm complaining but want to bring this to your attention.

If I quote a prior post, the lag is the longest. With the warning that I need to leave the page.

If I just make a post with out quoting it doesnt seem to hang or time out as much.

Also now I am in the habbit of copying the post to my buffer before I hit reply.

I believe the slow 'post reply' is fixed, as well as the 'leave or stay' dialog box. Email notifications have been restored. We're also making much better use of our server hardware, so page loads should be significantly faster. More work will be done on Thursday to provide further improvement. Please let me know of any issues you encounter.

Not sure if this is a same problem or should be a new one. I have this thread subscribed. In the past I would get a notification like the thanked. A # would appear. That didnt appear that there were posts on the subscription? Will check my settings again.
