It's all about the MONEY here and nothing else.... If u have to find a job through CL then ur already gonna fail.... Drive up here and go to the ND job force location and fill apps out n person... That's the best way to get a job here Period... Do your homework and u will get a good gig...take the first sure we pay great and work 24/7 promise and. U will be broke.

This year is an all time record for road construction in ND, so good prospects there. Oil transport is very slow right now, I am only working half days and 4 days a week. Like the previous poster said, dont use Craigslist for jobs here, too many culls and fakes. I most highly recommend the ND job service, and they have all the listings, and the listings usually state pay and who the employer is, not all secretive and low down like my home state of Oregon. Just be sure you understand before you come that family housing is out of the question, due to expense. If you are single, or if your family can live in an RV then then okay; the RV parks have come down a lot on rents in the year that I have been here, due to a continuing decline in the oil patch, and I see vacancy rates of 50 to 90% in many. Still lots of jobs despite the slowdown, but there are so many carriers going broke across America and they are coming here to get the work and bidding each other into the dirt, so the pay and benefits are on the decline. But still lots of jobs available. And at the first sign of winter there will be hordes quitting, so thats an easy time to get hired too.
