I have been known to shoot the s.... I mean ....breeze... with police officers. Went through the academy myself. I'm just not quite enough of a politician (as I've proven on a number of occasions in these forums) to keep a sargeant happy for long. My blood runs a bit too hot to deal with office politics and my long-standing habit of bluntly cutting through the BS with a chainsaw did not bode well for a long-term career in Law Enforcement. Fires don't go whine to your boss that you yelled at them and threw water on them. Perpetual "victim" criminals do. We all have our strengths and shortcomings.

I am not afraid to waltz into a scale and ask a question. Or walk up to a patrol car (hands ot of pockets, open and held slightly out to my sides) and ask a question. Usually, it starts with a question and then a half hour has passed and (oh, crap!) I have to go! I am not hostile to police officers and respect the job they have to do. It is unfortunate that so many become hostile to the citizens they were hired to serve. Understandable, and unfortunate. They forget, after dealing with bad-guy after idiot after junkie after victim, that 90% of people are the good guys. They begin to think everybody is like that 10% of the population they handle....and they fall into an "Us vs. Them" only cops are good-guys mentality. I've watched this happen to some of my personal friends.

Please don't become this jaded. I'm one of the 90%.

I've never understood that... as a law enforcement officer, I'd WANT to use a bluetooth device..but most I've seen don't.

    LOL !!!!!

    SOOOOOO......

You can tint your WINDSHIELD as dark as you please cause it isn't to the "left and right" of the driver ????
    LOL

    Gotta LOVE our government.

In an effort to make simple english "sound official", they end up creating more problems than they ever solve with their "rules".

Dark tint is a non issue.
By the time a LEO is able to SEE a weapon that is being properly concealed readied to fire, he/she will already be in the "kill zone" of said weapon.
IE... a SBS, SBR, or handgun in the lap is not visible until they are beside the door due to the way vehicles are constructed (and lack of x-ray vision).
THAT is the problem and "nightmare" they live every day.

Tint laws are negligible in preventing LODD's.
It's just more "feel good legislation" that gives a false sense of security to the LEO's, and a moneymaker for the State.
