yes and no.....when I graduated SQT, they took me off training pay and put me on mileage because my DBL told me I would have a truck within 2 days.
1 week later I still didn't have a truck, so I called my DBL, and was put back on training pay, miraculously, I had a truck the next day, so I got paid for a week of training pay after I finished SQT.
Just gotta talk to your DBL and explain it isn't YOUR fault they have no truck for you.mickeyrat Thanks this. -
Sounds nice. I had my truck the day after my SQT so wasn't aware of that.
-
My DBL said it could be up to a week for a truck.
I suppose it cant hurt to ask if the same consideration can be had for me?
I am sitting through no fault of my own. -
yep, just call up and be nice about, "hey, I really expected to be driving, can I stay on training pay until you can find me a truck?? I can't make money sitting at home ya know!""
Can't hurt, worked for me

My truck is still in NY state....think I'll ask for "training pay" while I sit and wait for it!

Sitting in the St Louis OC right now. Truck went in for PM yesterday.
The guy last night wasn't sure if they were going to repair it or just trade it out because of the number of problems.
They gave me the truck back to sleep in last night. Woke me up at 5 Am today and had me pull it inside so they could fix it. Was told the guy last night made a mistake and everything was minor. Should have the truck back some time this afternoon if all goes well. -
Lima Ohio waiting on a load to get me home.
