no , i didnt haul the jet. i was running so fast up I-95 i got clearance to land at the philly airport over the cb. and the cooling tower i only hauled the daylight they use to light it up during the day. pretty "light" load actually. no tarp though.

That tower isn't in my backyard in Orlando is it? I have a similar pic from my truck.

If you're speaking of Rollin coal, he lives in the perfect area for what he wants to do and his results are based on that. He also basically operates on his own, booking his own loads with shippers and brokers. I doubt Bill's fleet averages $2 to the truck for all miles on the van side. There are also things about Bill's fleet that are different than your typical carrier, like paying 3% to get paid, paying your own liability and cargo insurance, etc. The way you threw out that number, you made it sound like the carrier paid 2.50 for all miles and you knew what you were talking about instead of just regurgitating something you read in another thread.

I would like to hear some names. I know plenty of guys pulling vans and not a 1 of them is doing better than $2 a mile all miles being leased on. Not saying it can not be done just not a common with vans. I know a few doing right around $2 or a little better but they run on there own.
