Might have to earn a few extra bucks in the back row of the Petro to help pay that one.
    $20 a pop.
    Ouch

Looks to me like you're pretty lucky you didn't need a new spindle.

Either they saw you just needed a seal and decided to screw you, or they got in there and found all the other stuff wrong and fixed it.

For what they did ( if it really needed it) isn’t that bad of a price. The $50 per hr rate is dirt cheap, but 9 hrs is a long time to a axle service.

That's the fun part of being and O/O. Sounds like truck was in bad shape if needing spindle work.

So I'm looking at the hours at $50 per hour. It took 8 and a half hours to do that? What a joke. I've done that repair in the parking lot of the truck stop in less than an hour.

I've done a few of these. About 11 of them. Keep your eye on that wheel. If its just a little out in assembly it will leak or get hot or both.

From the looks of it he’s lucky he didn’t lose a wheel.

So you’ve pulled a set of duels, hub cap, drum, axle nut, bearings, oil seals, and shoes and reinstalled everything in less then an hour? Man the ######## sure is deep in here today.
