When are trucks retired?

We ran trucks for 12 years avg 365 thousand miles a year. So 4.3 million on them when we sold the company. They ran them longer still. Few engine swaps and transmission changes. But keep going.

 

As long as it gets you from point A to point B that's all that matters,lol.

 

I had to drive a truck with 1.8 million on it last company Iworked for they liked running bald tires to its a smaller outfit but they advertise for owner operators on almost every trucking website .

 

sounds like yours may be eligible for social security when it is retired. how do ya like gordon?

 

what fleet are you in and does it have an APU?

 

you're on the US fleet so.. you might get a newer truck after a couple of months, i think the older trucks are for regional runs. they're just trying you out
