    It all started when thay took the mechanical fuel pumps off before u just tightened a screw and make the rod on fuel pedal longer now company's like prime swift all hire any thang with a heart beat so ins went up took all the fun out of being out here

    no, it took a bit more than that. you could change the button or stretch the spring or put in a stinger to up the rpm.

    but the big fleets all were at 55 in the seventies, i started with builders transport in 79 with a 76 freightliner that ran 55 mph.
