When did the lack of courtesy among truck drivers start. Blocking others when parking at truck stops taking a crap with your truck at the pump. Dumping pee bottles and trash on the ground. Or driving behind another truck as their backing into a space.
I’ve been driving for 2 years and these are a few bad behaviors I’ve seen could probably think of more as well but when did this start to unfortunately become normal.

This started when the White Volvo crowd invaded the trucking industry.

Because other drivers won't vocalize their objections out of fear, and those who do it wouldn't change anyway. I'm the first to call another driver out for parking at the fuel island or pissing next to their truck before walking to the truck stop (happened this week).

Saw an ELS driver yesterday, pretty red Lonestar, nearly sideswipe a woman walking across the lot. She wasn't difficult to see, what with her laundry bag and all, but this richard just couldn't be bothered to even slow down...15mph past this woman. You could possibly blame it on ELD, but he circled the lot to find a pull-through spot.

Drivers have always been an axious bunch. There’s always been those types. Usually worse around the bigger cities. Seems to be worse now though. I’ve slowed down a whole lot myself, rarely do I get in a hurry, even if I’m running late. But I dont have anyone pushing Me. I can’t get fired. But I think the Internet, social media is making it worse. Drivers are in their own world, not focusing on the real world at hand. I keep to myself, haven’t had a CB in 10+ yrs. Much happier now, in my own little world.

True but it couldn’t have always been this way.

Yeah I have called drivers out but in general I prefer to avoid an altercation as you never know who might be packing, gotta pick your battles.
