I met some people from one of the major truck manufactures a few years ago. They told me that their trucks are good for 20 years. Most of the major carriers will turn their trucks about the time they get out of warranty. Until a couple of years ago many would turn them when they got about 300-400,000 miles on them. There are some who may put over 600,000 on their trucks before turning them. There is no set rule. Carriers want to maximize profits while minimizing risk. The way some drivers take care of their assigned trucks it works better for some of those carriers to keep them as long as they are covered under warranty. That way when the driver tears something up it is taken care of with their warranty.
There can be tax advantages to turning trucks over at certain intervals.
When do they retire trucks?
