I looked at what all invoices I have that are not paid it's $41,260 think that's what my problem is getting paid like now when I'm out of cash I don't run far because I don't have the cash to run that hard what's bad is over $10,k of that is over 60 days my customers slow pay the #### out of me but the brokers always seem to pay on time exept a few
I did set up with freight capital about a year ago but seems like 80% of the ones we checked did not meet there non recourse and was only getting 90% up front than after they got paid after the beginning of the next month they would release that other 5% but would just take it off my next invoice I sent in so it didn't work for me

    Just a suggestion,

When you have working capital move the units to lanes that produce, Texas is not hot from what I am looking at but the steel and lumber here on the East side is just starting.

Now not every load has a pot of gold but far better than what you have been describing, just a thought.

Sorry 1truck pony but you are way wrong about the good money part. This guy is not going to be a bum for $1500 profit a week after fuel. I just quit these misleading fleet of o/o bums.

RW you're spot on about the bottom feeders. Never been O/Op , and almost 25yr of doing company business , mostly dryvan , the shippers are shipping 20 and 30 ft rods on dryvans now . Steel coils are being shipped dry , 12 to 15ft crates weighing in at 4800lbs.

Last 10yrs , now been dealing with consignees say what the heck are these idiots doin. This stuff never comes in on a box. Well the almighty $ dictates everything now , common sense is an old wives tail in the 21st century , it's gone wayside and money is what it's all about.

It's the purchasers at the consignees that are ordering dryvans more and more. Drop deck and Flat bed is specialized ... higher rates ....and higher costs. The here comes these bottom feeder paying company drivers 34 cpm the way the crow flies , to haul it dryvan and the purchaser finds out that it's $1000 less shipping dry. The guys on the dock act as though it's the shipper , it's actually their own purhasing agents .

Through the 90's we never seen this stuff as LTL , it was all D/D-F/B . I'm 51 and as a company driver have been between job for a month , I recently filled out an app at a Krogers near the house. This new equip with the gel packs are for the birds. The best you can hope for is something older with a Tripack or Thermoking apu. In good operating condition. I was NCT , for 2 yr last 7 weeks 7 breakdowns nothing for the time invested. I'm gonna start orientation with lets just say an avgcompany 12-3 , am I excited ??? Nope , not at all , most trucking these days is just a bottom feeder job. I said most , there still a few good ones left out there not many. Good luck in your retirement .
