    No it is a way for the States to be SEEN out in force during the summer driving season.. It is not about safety it is about public perception and money. If it was about saftey they would write alot more fixit tickets instead of posting post CvSA out of services and such.

    got stopped at the Port of Entry in Utah on I-80 goin west on wednesday.....but we showed them the registrations & Left.....alottah DOT officers were doin inspections....we thought we was gonnah get an inspection....1ne of the Lady's inside said they were focus'n on Trucks with plain trailers......

    Definitly gottah stay away from the South Dakota scale on I-29 goin North.....:biggrin_2556:

    thats where i got my 1st tickect ((( $167 ))).....just got my CDL a month ago.......but the Officer said it wont go on my License....

    they pulled another guy in after we were leavin....he was sayin....he shouldah stayed on I-80.....

    I went thru that same coop last monday (WB). While on the static I noticed the overhead led sign in red flashing from "proceed to I-4" in english and the eqivelent in spanish. I'm like WTF? I'm used to the old and now defunct coop up the road.

    I wouldn't ever dream of going around the coops in FL but there are certain coops I prefer to cross over others... and 99% of the time, coops on the big road are not part of my travel agenda.:biggrin_25525:
