Yeah, but I'm hoping that, if I can work myself into better shape, when I hit 50, it won't hurt near as bad as if I stay in my present condition.

Hypothetically speaking, I have used two logistics bars as a "ramp" to get stuff off of the truck,...........It slows things down and lets gravity do the work,....

    Hypothetically of course,.........

Thats a pretty nifty trick walleye, never thought about using log. bars for a ramp. A few years ago on afriday before labor day weekend i showed up at a tires plus store to deliver a Tire machine/ changer. i explained that my liftgate was broke so i had a reg. trailer with an extendable ramp.if they were willing to help slide it off the ramp i would go for iit, otherwise they could refuse it. they said no way, we have a major sale going on and need the machine. so 4 of us balanced it on the ramp. it wouldnt slide due to the weight so one of the guys spread grease on the sides of the ramp and it slid off eaily. when i got back to the terminal, they asked how i got the freight off without a liftgate? i told them what i did and in the middle of my answer I got" forget it, i dont want to hear that" Lol!

Funny how no one really want's to know how things are done,...

I never get a lift-gate only a pup so I put the logistic bars up under by the pintle hitch,...............Usually I slide stuff back until it want's to tip down and the guide in to the bars and just lift the back end of the skid down,.....Slide the skid down until it meet the ground and grab the two wheeler to hook the skid and pull it off the bars and TADA!!!,....

I took a 600 pound crate with a "hover round" thing in it off by myself once while the customer who was an old dude sucking on a oxygen tank watched,.......Then he threw a tow strap on the crate, hooked it to his bumper hitch and took off up the driveway dragging it,.....................LOL,...

I love my job, Yous never know what yous will run into on a daily basis,....

Most of the time my responsibility ends when I get it to the tailgate,........

I also find if I am proactive and call them in the morning with a rough estimate of when I think I will show up they can find a way to make arrangements for a skid steer or forklift or something if need be,.......

Funny how when I do dispatches job for myself things go better,.......:biggrin_2559:

Dang man, you's perfect for a terminal manager.:biggrin_2559:

I was dead for 5 min at 12 yrs old, had both legs crushed and was told I'd be a cripple for life at 21. Was told I'd never live to see 30 several times and had more than one person try to make that come true. :biggrin_2559:
Moved down here and got married for the first time at 57 and been happier than at any other point in my life. Looks like I'm living life backwards.:biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559:

Give up driving???? And do what??? Nuhuh, y'all's stuck with me.... run and hide in horror.:biggrin_255:

BTW, I fully expect that when they sliding my coffin into the hearse I'll hear a tap on the lid and "Hey buddy, our driver didn't show up. Couldya do us a favor?"..... and get busted fer speeding on the way.:biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559:

    #### it Kittyfoot, Do you have pain when the weather changes? Luckily, you were at a young age, but the shock of having your legs hurt, probably still linger. I would never wish that kind of pain on anyone.
