Well, with our temps getting to -30, we are going to run straight #1 fuel. And wind chill does not affect non-biological objects.

I don't do blended when it gets colder then -5. Straight number 1 in the tanks. Never gelled up.

The other morning I had to take off and it was -32 degrees outside. Truck was plugged in. Jumped in and hit the key and it was purring like a kitten. Idled it up for a bit and did not move till the temp gauge woke up a little.

I used to have a t-shirt from ND. It said North Dakota: -40 keeps out the riff raff. :biggrin_2559:

    Flomax? Are you sure?

I thought that was the stuff that doctors prescribed to guys that are always getting up in the middle of the night and have their live's interrupted by the constant urge to "go".

If you read my post closely (and its information direct from the side of the bottle), you have to combine them anyway. Cause if you just put diesel 911 in, it'll ungel and then...re-gel. Somehow it doesnt prevent gelling. If you saw my post, you also saw that its going to cost around $50 to put it in! Definitely cheaper to just let nature do it....heh. Plus....do you realllllly want to be screwing around with taking fuel filters off to put it in the filters, if its that cold out? NOT ME!

At what temp do you guys start adding anti gells? I live in Houston I would need them unless I go OTR.

15 or 20 is about when I start dosing. As the temps go down the dosage goes up. I probably over dose by a margin of 2 to 4. Anti gel is cheap compared to gelling up.
