Yep, there is no difference driving 30 minutes tired or 7-8 hours tired. Odds are just the same. Besides, the FMCSA doesn't regulate private vehicles.

What does weight have to do with braking distances?? Not a thing. Load her down.

Bypassing scales doesn't mean they are breaking the law?? Lol, why else would someone from several miles away be jumping off and back on the interstate. Seriously, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.

You haven't figured the phone thing out either. It's not holding it. It's the dialing and texting.

Don't let one bad apple spoil the whole bunch.

You must play in right field? :biggrin_25517:

Even if the truckdriver is 100% legal, they will still be sued over and over again till the insurance company settles. Its just the way it works, no one take responsibility for their own actions anymore.

What is so bad about running the "no scale trail"? Better scenery and less hassle from some underpaid self important gung ho public servant out to make his bones.

That sucks. I don't know if this is being discussed anywhere else on TTR, but sorry for the loss of your bud.

I would buy another truck if I could find someone that dedicated to drive it.Beats the hell out of the whiny, sniveling sort that are available. He wouldn`t stay around long though, hard to stretch out past a 10 hour day with what I do.
Maybe he has goals or dreams hes trying to reach while he can still dream.Maybe he doesn`t have much of a homelife so he works.Maybe hes paid by the hour.
Must be a pretty good driver or he wouldn`t have made the 6 years so far.If I needed a driver,I would offer him a job.
