All you have to do to reboot your qualcommm is to completely shut down your truck, there is a knob under the drivers seat on your left hand side. Turn it to the off position, wait 3-5 minutes before turning it to the on position then wait 2-3 minutes, turn your truck completely on and do not touch the screen of your qualcommm till it is fully loaded. This should reboot the whole system.

The only instance of using GPS mapping in real time we had was with our personal laptop and rand mcnally gps reciever from the mid 90's era. The qualcomm we had is the first generation from 1995 onwards to 2001. The only time we do not have map roll as we moved or communication with space is when we are blocked from the SW sky (Satellite is over Mexico in Geo Orbit pointed at San Diego which I recall is HQ for QC) or in a tunnel, bridge etc.
Otherwise, there is no reason to be touching the QC equiptment inside your truck unless you had a dead unit and a blown fuse. In my time our shop was the only people that touched it even though I had the original manual for the entire system and read up on it and understood it back then. A little more than most. Example it used to display a certain long digit number string when someone was tracking you in real time on one of the macros related to system status. It was useful tidbit back then. -
I just like doing the old army way Hammer, duct tape and 550 cord
