It could have been slowing traffic that the officer was trying to catch everyone attention to and that one was the first on scene and was trying to alert the flowing traffic. After the wrecks that have been being done all over the country they may be trying to stop the mayhem but these loads are more important than Lives?

I’m pretty sure he was texting and driving.

In California its called a "round robin". In 1978 when I got my drivers license it was 2 days jail time for passing a round robbin (according to the law back then).
Round robins are primarily to slow down freeway traffic or to stop traffic as airplanes will use the freeway to land on in an emergency.Last edited: May 25, 2019

Just ignore the flashing lights and hammer down driver.... Good job.
zep1218, not4hire, Dave_in_AZ and 1 other person Thank this. -
What I was saying is that IF it had not been for the flashing lights this thread would be about how the dumb*** 4 wheeler hit a truck. But since there are flashing lights on an on ramp that decide to fly on the hiway and go straight across then he's right and the truck drivers wrong?
Then again if he had stop for fuel 10 minutes earlier he wouldn't have been there for LEO to run into. -
He should have slowed down and let them crash into someone else. But I don’t think he deserved a ticket. The Cop was in violation. Failure to control vehicle. What a scam. This is exactly why when it comes to the law and courts. The truth is irrelevant. This is a cut and dry case, obvious to anyone, except the Police, at least in this case. Funny how that works, had he slowed down too much and got rear ended they would have ticketed him for obstructing traffic.
Cowboyrich Thanks this. -
That's pretty much it to me.
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
that's right, if someone wanted to check his ELD, and found he was there a few seconds earlier, maybe they could nail him for speeding as well..???
back in the days of paper, that's EXACTLY what the cops could do, give you a speeding ticket based on your location from the time you left and started driving, to where you were when you got stopped.lovesthedrive Thanks this.
