Had 3/32 left on my super single drive. Pulled into a place and saw this mich ss grip sitting in the corner and asked about it. $500 installed with beads. Mega corp decided to scrap it instead of patching the flat 26/32 remaining. Wasn't driven on flat. This is one great way to save $1000.
I love when things work out

Oh, come on now, you know companies will jump over a dollar to get a dime. You must be a good driver to even consider looking at anything regarding a truck. A noteworthy trait, but not needed as a company driver.

I own the truck, and saving $1000 was amazing since I am just now swapping to step deck, and have to buy everything before I even take my first trip. This $1000 bought my headache rack
Vampire, Concorde, Siinman and 1 other person Thank this. -
Concorde Thanks this.

I'd be finding a way to carry it.
Trucks running 24's is bad enough out in the country where no one has one to sell you.
22s are easy to find. 24s and wides are not. -

Didn’t realize those suckers cost that much. -
They also cause insane amounts of damage when they explode.
I don’t think we have more than 1 trailer out of 18 that doesn’t have tire damage on the wheel fenders to some degree.
Trailer tires fare better than our drive tires. We do run recaps in the driver position, virgin steer tires, and recap trailer tires.
They really suck in crappy weather, especially slick conditions like snow and ice.
Thankfully, in East Tennessee, we don’t see much of that.
I would advocate them in areas of fair weather, not so much in areas of foul weather.
Be safe out there.

In 2.5 years I have never had an issue, even in deep snow and hurricane rain.
Only ones that blew up were recaps, and I only run virgin now. No rim damage during the blow outs for me. The lower weight has been nice, I've never been over on my drive tires
