I kept mine off 70% of the time I guess. I ran into some good people running at night
Saw this some time ago. Geeees! I never could figure out why some guys drive trucks if it makes them go that insane.

Not gonna happen.Been there too many times. You guys pass me halfway just like the cars, then I have to slow down to 45 MPH for some teenager or old guy who doesn't know how to turn his head and look at oncoming traffic. No Thanks, I'll just settle for your opinion.

If they did 70, I would see them coming in my mirror and get over. It's those A-holes that crawl up doing 2 MPH faster than you, then they get 75 % past you and realize that there is an incline and they have a loaded trailer. Then they look at me with their puppy dog eyes begging me to slow down to let them in front of me.

Reminder- Just because you can drive fast DOES NOT mean you know how to drive!

Hello...... It's Wisconsin. You can put a 70MPH zone in NJ or NY and you will still be stuck in traffic. Only difference will be the occasional fatality from some guy " NOT aiming high in steering" and crashing into a few normal folks trying to get somewhere.

You were in the 3rd lane of a 4 lane road? Unless that 4th lane was no trucks allowed, I would say **** him. He can pass in that lane if he thinks your going too slow. That is why there are multiple lanes.

My response over the CB would be "what are you complaining for? Pass me on the left if you want to go faster" or "Did you know there is still a lane to my left?".

It's the philosophy I use driving my car. I go the speed I want in the lane moving closest to that speed. If it's not the left lane and you want to go faster then me, then pass me. I wont speed up or move over. There is another lane you can use.

I once had some idiot tailgate me for 10 miles on the right lane in the evening when there was nobody else on the highway. After 5 miles I started gradually slowing down to get them to pass me, but they didn't. By the end of that 10 miles I was doing 35 on the highway with the car tailgating me despite the left lane being empty the whole time. I was laughing my butt off.

I don't slow down to 35, but that happens all the time. I start laughing when I jump in the left lane and they fly by on the right.

Yeah, and you guys not running the CB are part of the issue too when you have a pilot car screaming at you that there is a 23' wide load coming around the corner. I have witnessed many times a near miss and one not so near miss because of this. You can always turn the radio off if you don't like what they are saying and turn it back on later. Heck they will be out of range soon anyhow.

Anyhow, I believe that if I am doing the speed limit then the hell with you. If you wanted to be in front of me you should have gotten up earlier.

Or as soon as you pass them and move back over, they decide to accelerate just to pass you then move back over in front of you and resume their original speed. lol

thats what probably made him go bonkers, driving a truck. isolation causes all kinds of problems. we live in a rolling jail cell...think about it.
Not much human touching. IE hugs etc.
Not much face to face communication.
Not much self control needed when your a trucker. You can fart, burp when you want, shower when you want etc.
It all makes you lose some basic common behavior.
