When will drivers STOP hitting this bridge

    some bridges marked below 13'6 are sometimes mismarked.ney york has alot of12'5 we can fit under.I usually wait to see a local driver go through then I go

    Older cities tend to have water, sewer, or subway lines that often run along and under roadways, increasing the costs.

    Digging out would also have to be a much larger section to keep a gradual grade.

    Don't know if that's the case here - but often the price is higher.

    In this case a new bridge might make more sense for the purpose of widening the road, and age of the bridge.

    But most of all, being struck several times already can't be good for structural integrity - and will have to be replaced either way.
