When will the MADNESS ever stop?

Did I sense the sarcasm in Scottie’s post and everyone else missed it? Or was there no sarcasm? Lol. Now I’m confused. The sarcasm seemed so apparent but these replies to it have me doubting myself. I hate when that happens.

 

Sure has changed a lot over the years. Don't know if folks are in more of a hurry or what. Things getting bad when you have to watch a professional driver like you would a 4 wheeler.

 

Actually no it’s ELD.

Case in point:

Picture two boys who wanna go out and play. Fathers of both boys tell them they must be home at 8:00.

So they go out and play.

Father #1 knows his son will be home at 8:00 and trusts him. Is known to be understanding and flexible.
Father #2 doesn’t care about trusting his son and is known to beat the crap out of him. He also sits by the door with a stopwatch and the kid gets beat if he comes in one minute late.

7:30 both boys walk home but are interrupted on the way by a bully. 7:50 rolls around and it’ll take 15 minutes to walk home.

Which kid do you think is gonna break out in a mad rush to get home?

Boy #1, who knows his dad is somewhat flexible (paper logs), or boy #2 who knows his butt is toast no matter what? (ELD)

 

The one who is getting beat for every little transgression will become a monster because he knows he is going to be beat for any little problem and will eventually start beating his father and every poor soul he comes in contact with, sometimes the beaten down get stronger and become somewhat of a nightmare for the "father".

 

Except in this case we have the almighty government that’s turning into an oligarchy and doesn’t give a #### about us trying to “beat” it because we don’t have billions to spend on making things right.

But hey actually you’re right. See why ELD is NOT a good thing? Lol
